The Seven Dwarfs and the Age of Mandarins 1940s-60s

Join the National Centre of Biography at its conference on the mandarins who ruled the federal public service in the 1940s-60s. Many of these men were physically diminutive and were known collectively as the 'Seven Dwarfs'. Prime Minister Robert Menzies (or was it Ben Chifley?) was 'Snow White'.

Speakers include Professors Stuart Macintyre, David Horner, Geoffrey Bolton and Jack Richardson, Dr Nicholas Brown, Ian Hancock and the Hon Barry Jones.
