The Australian National University has generously funded the Australian Dictionary of Biography project for the last half century and continues to support both it and the National Centre of Biography. But we would like to do more. Some years ago we established an ADB Endowment fund with a generous donation from the late Mrs Caroline Simpson. We have since received other bequests and are keen to build up the fund so that we can embark on more activities such as:

• biographer-in-residence
• endowed biography fellowships
• annual Keith Hancock Biography Lecture
• NCB awards for biography including Best First Biography
