Gideon Haigh

Gideon Haigh is a prolific sports and business journalist, historian and biographer. During the 1980s and 1990s he worked as journalist for the Age and the Australian. He has written and edited over two dozen books. His histories include The Cricket War (1993) and The Summer Game: Australian Test Cricket 1949-71 (1997). His biographies include The Big Ship: Warwick Armstrong and the Making of Modern Cricket (2001) and his award-winning Mystery Spinner: The Story of Jack Iverson (1999).
