Our stories: Biography Book Group - Our Mothers with Robbie Henderson & Louise Moran.

Robbie Henderson has worked as a teacher, a biochemist, a political activist and a feminist activist in Australia and the United Kingdom culminating in her election as a member of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Legislative Assembly.  She spent thirty years working in both government and non-government sectors. She has worked in the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) and as an advisor to the national police (PNTL) in Dili, Timor-Leste. Robbie lives in Canberra with her husband and works in the public sector. She has two adult children and four grandchildren.

Dr Louise Moran came to Canberra in 1952 as a (very small!) child. She devoted her career to university administration, distance education and international education here and overseas. Formally trained as an historian, she is a member of the Australian Women's Archives Program, and is currently researching and writing biographies of notable Canberra women for inclusion in the online Australian Women's Register.
