Professor Linda Barwick is a musicologist based at The University of Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music and co-founder of digital archive PARADISEC. Her research interests centre on the role of music in social identity and place, to which end she has collaborated with linguists, historians and Indigenous researchers in numerous community-based projects documenting song traditions. Linda’s current participation in several Australian Research Council projects deals with revitalisation of song and languages.
