Kristian Marijanovic is a PhD candidate whose thesis will be a political biography of Rex Connor, Minister for Minerals and Energy in the Whitlam Government. He is interested in Connor's whole political life, with an emphasis on his ministry and the political ideas he represented, especially his socialism and sense of Australian nationalism.

Kristian holds a BA (Hons.) degree from the University of Sydney. His Honours thesis was a history of the youth wing of the New South Wales Labor Party.
