Canberra City YHA is located in the city centre, five minutes’ walk from the interstate bus terminal and less than 20 minutes’ walk from conference venues. The hostel has a cafe, indoor pool/spa/sauna, free Wi-Fi hotspot (premium Wi-Fi Plus also available), fully-equipped kitchen, rooftop BBQ area, TV/games area, and an underground bar. It is billed as ‘fun and safe’.

They are offering 10% off their standard rates for conference delegates with dorm beds from $32 and private rooms from $104 per night.

To make a booking contact the hostel directly (phone or email above) and pay for the first night of your stay upfront with a credit card. Quote ‘Australian Historical Association Annual Conference 2018’ or AHA2018 to receive the discount rate. They have a 48 hour cancellation policy, meaning that if you decide not to stay and give them 48 hours’ notice of cancellation they can provide a full refund.
