PhD Report on the 2024 World Congress of Environmental History

Oulu University, photograph by Ruby Ekkel

Wednesday 9 October 2024

A big congratulations to one of the Centre's environmental history postgraduate students, Ruby Ekkel, for publishing a report on her adventures in Oulu for the 2024 World Congress of Environmental History.

Earlier this month, Ruby shared her report 'The Oulu Diaries - a First-Timer's Reflections on the World Congress of Environmental History' with our friends at NiCHE - the Network in Canadian History & Environment. Check out her reflections on panel sessions, reindeer encounters, PowerPoint Karaoke, keynote speakers, and the Screaming Men's Choir - talk about FOMO...

Well done, Ruby!
