Tuesday 4 October 2011

Martin Thomas of ACIH is working with the Arnhem Land community of Gunbalanya, making a documentary film about the theft of human remains during the 1948 American-Australian Scientific Expedition to Arnhem Land and their repatriation sixty years later. In July this year, the bones were wrapped in paperbark and buried as part of an elaborate ceremony.
