The international IHOPE Project (Integrated History and Future of People on Earth)

Mike Smith, Libby Robin and Tom Griffiths are contributors to the international IHOPE project, which is part of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme coordinated by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Stockholm, a global research initiative seeking Australian collaboration (and coordinated by Professor Will Steffen of ANU).  The first formal meeting of this group in the southern hemisphere was held in Canberra in May 2010.  ANU PhD student in archaeology, Alan Williams (supervised by Smith and Robin), is a significant contributor to this research. Researchers: Mike Smith, Alan Williams, Libby Robin and Tom Griffiths.
