The CEH was privileged to welcome Professor Debjani Bhattacharyya, Chair of the  Anthropocene at University of Zurich as RSSS Visiting Fellow during July-August 2026. During her visit, Professor Bhattacharyya worked on multiple pieces of research related to her ongoing book project on weather science and the commodification of the cyclone in the 19th century Indian Ocean World. Speaking on this theme, she delivered a keynote lecture at the Swiss Embassy on August 6 and addressed the School of History in the weekly seminar series on August 12.
