Journal Article by History PhD Student receives Gender Institute Prize

Anne Rees, School of History PhD student, has continued the successful start to her year. Recently awarded both the Endeavour Research Fellowship and the 2012 Ken Inglis Post Graduate Prize, Anne's work has also been recognised by the Gender Institute at ANU.   Anne's  article

‘”The Quality and Not Only the Quantity of Australia’s People”: Ruby Rich and the Racial Hygiene Association of NSW’( Australian Feminist Studies Vol. 27 No. 71) 

was  awarded the 2012 Gender Institute Prize for excellence in gender research in a journal article published in 2012 by an ANU graduate student. Congratulations Anne.

The committee that determined this award was chaired by Professor Kim Rubenstein in consultation with the Management Committee of the Gender Institute. They highly commended the breadth and the depth of excellence in gender research at ANU as represented by Anne's article.
