Congratulations to Charlotte Ward, the winner of the History Council NSW’s Addison Road Community Centre Organisation Award for Multicultural History for her essay Captain cook: A Catalyst Contestation as part of the Making History course.

This is the first time Addison Road Community Centre Organisation Award has been presented. It aims to encourage new and emerging historians to discover, analyse and explore multicultural histories and the history of multiculturalism in Australia, helping to increase academic and public engagement in a topic that has ongoing relevance to Australian history and society today.

Charlotte receives a citation and a prize of $500 at the History Council of NSW’s History Lecture, during History Week.
