Bookings essential   BiographyGregg Mitman is the Vilas Research and William Coleman Professor of History of Science, Medical History, and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. His teaching and research interests span the history of science, medicine, and the environment in the United States and the world, and reflect a commitment to environmental and social justice. His scholarship seeks to understand the ways in which political economy, cultural values and beliefs, and scientific knowledge intersect in shaping the interactions among people and environments over time. Libby Robin has worked at the National Museum since 1998 as a curator, researcher and environmental historian.
