A project lead by the School of History's Professor Ann McGrath has been announced as a recipient of funding from the Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Projects scheme.

The project, Serving our Country: a history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the defence of Australia, is one of ten ANU projects funded in this round, with funding due to commence in July 2012.

The project team includes Prof Ann McGrath (CASS-History), Prof Mick Dodson (ANU-NCIS), Prof John Maynard (University of Newcastle), Dr Noah Riseman (ACU), Dr Geoffrey Gray (AIATSIS), Dr Samuel Furphy (CASS-History).

Partner Organisations: Department of Defence, National Archives of Australia, Australian War Memorial, Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
