Monday 2 October 2017
The ANU’s chancellor Gareth Evans most recent book, Incorrigible Optimist: A Political Memoir was published by Melbourne University Press today. In it he looks back over the highs and lows of his public life as a student activist, civil libertarian, law reformer, industry minister, international policymaker, educator and politician. The book has been described as ‘engaging and insightful and, uncharacteristically, self-critical and deprecatory’.
