At the World Congress of Environmental History conference in Portugal in July, Jane Carruthers retired as President of the International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations (ICEHO), and Libby Robin was elected as the incoming President. The ICEHO is a ‘network of networks’ which works actively to promote environmental history in all its forms: as scholarship and research, informing public policy and education, and in promoting collaboration between environmental historians around the world. Every five years it meets for a World Congress.
Read the first Bulletin which includes a report from the recent World Congress.
