The Many Worlds of RH Mathews: In search of an Australian anthropologist by Dr Martin Thomas of ACIH, published earlier this year by Allen & Unwin, was shortlisted for three awards:
- The Age Book of the Year, Non-fiction category
- QLD Premier's Literary Awards, History Book Award
- NSW Premier's History Awards, Australian History Prize
