Professor Angela Woollacott from the School of History  has done extensive research on Rose, and the chapter on her in her book 'Race and the Modern Exotic: Three 'Australian' Women on Global Display (Monash University Publishing, 2011)' provided the ABC with the detail of Rose's life and work.
