The Aboriginal History Inc Prize for Postgraduate Paper

The Aboriginal History Inc. Postgraduate Prize will be awarded to the best paper that engages with the field of Aboriginal History presented by a postgraduate student at the 2018 Australian Historical Association Conference.

The award will be offered for the first time in 2018 in recognition of Aboriginal History journal's forty-year association with the Australian National University, and in memory of Dr Luise Hercus, a longstanding supporter of the journal.

Award to the winning paper

The prize will be a selection of books from Aboriginal HIstory monographs and $250.00

The winning paper will be considered for publication in Aboriginal History journal, subject to peer review.  if accepted for publication, the author will be offered mentorship from the journal editors and editorial board.

Process for applying

Applicants must have presented a version of the paper at the 2018 AHA conference at ANU

They can then submit an expanded written version up to 7000 words in length

Papers should use Chicago (notes and bibiography) referencing style.
